CPAS Pension Managment Software and Cognos IntegrationCPAS, developed by CPAS Systems Inc., is a powerful Pension Administration Software used by many government agencies and businesses. While great at managing your member base and pension calculations, CPAS may not provide the reporting and communication capabilities you require.


Using CPAS with Cognos

Cognos integrates directly with your CPAS database to provide real-time reporting. The creation of member communications or forms are executed directly in CPAS by clicking a button which then reaches out to Cognos to access the data and develop the document. The end result is a PDF document that can immediately be printed out or saved in CPAS with the member in question for later access. Reports in Cognos can be manually run as one time events by a Pension employee or they can be executed as a batch process generating multiple communications at one time for members falling withing a specific criteria range. The great thing with Cognos is that you are not bound by strict communication templates. Develop any report you want with any design that your members are accustomed to seeing.


When considering Cognos to integrate with CPAS, it has been proven to excel at the following:

  • Member Reporting – Connect to the CPAS database and build reports and dashboards to provide real time reporting on membership status and demographics, pension calculations, pension balances, etc.
  • Communications – Automatically generate communications such as Welcome Packets or Annual Summary Statements with the click of a button.
  • Forms – Developed highly customized forms such as New Member Applications, Death Benefit Applications, and Tax Election forms.
  • Board Books – Build highly customized reports and dashboards that can be directly placed in Board Books to be reviewed by your Retirement Board of Directors.
