The creation of member communications or forms are executed directly in CPAS by clicking a button which then reaches out to Cognos to access the data and develop the document. The end result is a PDF document that can immediately be printed out or saved in CPAS with the member in question for later access. Reports in Cognos can be manually run as one time events by a Pension employee or they can be executed as a batch process generating multiple communications at one time for members falling withing a specific criteria range.
